DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) – Two women are lucky to be alive after losing control of their vehicle and crashing into a creek in Lithonia Thursday evening.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered off the roadway, landing upside down into Pole Bridge Creek on Hillvale Road.
The two women were rescued by firefighters. Neither of the women were injured but both were quite shaken up after the ordeal.
“When I felt the impact, I said let me brace myself and I just held it,” said one of the women.
The two had just come from dropping off one of the woman’s 9 year-old daughter.
The incident remains under investigation.
