(Officer.com) – A woman trapped in her home by a fire makes a desperate call for help and police are the first to arrive. Body cameras from Savannah Police officers show the rescue effort. When they open the front door, they can barely see inside because of the smoke that filled the house. They call out to anyone inside, but don’t hear a response. Finally, they hear the 39-year-old woman call them from the side of the house.
