(WTSP) – What fire and rescue teams often see have a tragic ending was not the case for one young patient and members of the Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue.
Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue shared a photo of their firefighter-paramedic, Doug Higley, waiting in the emergency room with a young patient’s parents after they were pulled from a local pool.
The patient was pulled from the pool by an off-duty Sunstar Paramedics employee, said the post. The employee did a successful resuscitation from respiratory arrest on the patient.
It was “an amazing outcome for what is all too often a tragic one,” said the post.
The patient was awake and doing well, according to the Facebook post.
