(WFXL) – Fire Departments in Albany and Valdosta are going head to head to see who can raise the most money for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
The foundation helps burn survivors with their recovery.
The Departments will be kicking off their effort on Saturday with a cook-off in front of Sam’s Club with food and activities for kids.
The competition goes on until the end of the year and more events like this are planned throughout the year.
If you donate, you’ll receive a wristband that has”give burns the boot” on it,
Donations are also accepted at the Albany Fire Department Headquarters.
The Albany BBQ will be held at the Sam’s Club at 1201 N Westover Blvd, Albany, 31707 on Saturday, April 28 from 10AM to 4PM
