(The Leaf-Chronicle) – A Clarksville Police officer gave an 8-year-old a field promotion to junior officer to help take the sting out of his missed recital performance. It may have sparked the boy’s interest in a future in law enforcement.

On May 11, a woman was involved in a minor fender-bender on the way to a school Fine Arts Night recital, and the delay caused her son, Quintin Fisher, to miss his performance, according to a news release Monday from Clarksville Police

“He had practiced singing the songs for over two months in preparation for the big evening,” Knoll said.
