WOODSTOCK, GA – (Woodstock Patch) – A woman is expected to fully recover after she was revived by a Woodstock police officer who found her unresponsive on a sidewalk.
Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, officer Yvonne Letzin was on routine patrol along Main Street when a vehicle approached and a motorist informed her that a person appeared to be sleeping on the sidewalk.
The officer tracked down the woman and she, along with another resident, discovered the woman was “unresponsive with no pulse,” Woodstock police said.
With the help of the resident, later identified as Brian Collins of Woodstock, performed CPR on the patient and after a few moments, she began to gasp for air.
Woodstock Fire and Rescue crews arrived on the scene and took over medical care. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
