(KTTS) – Firefighters have rescued three dogs from a burning home in Kirbyville early this morning.
Crews say the flames broke out just before 2 a.m. at a house on Trumpet Circle near the vet clinic off Highway 76 and J.
The home is a total loss.
Traffic on 76 was shut down for at least a couple of hours while firefighters from Western and Central Taney County Fire fought the flames.
Firefighters say the homeowners weren’t there at the time, although crews were in contact with them by phone.
A fire marshal has been on scene investigating, but there’s no word yet on the cause.
