(Times Herald) – An overly ambitious dog was rescued Christmas day nearly 20 feet up in a tree.
Burtchville Township Fire Chief Mark Harrington said crews were called out to Indian Trail Drive in Worth Township about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
“Instead of getting a cat out of a tree it was getting a dog out of a tree — which you don’t see very often,” Harrington said.
Firefighters put a ladder up the tree to rescue the Jack Russell named Pan.
Harrington said the dog had climbed up the tree chasing a squirrel.
“It was funny because they had put little antlers on the dog for Christmas,” he said.
No injuries were reported.
