(WSBTV) – HIRAM, Ga. – A Georgia police department is being praised for helping a mother who couldn’t afford proper car seats for her children.
Officer Johnson with the Hiram Police Department pulled over an SUV and spotted a seat belt violation. Two young children were riding in the backseat of the car, but didn’t have booster seats.
The mother told the officer she couldn’t afford the seats, so he provided them for her.
“We provided proper education with the seats in hopes they’ll be used correctly every time they travel,” the department wrote on Facebook.
People commented on the post thanking Officer Johnson for going above and beyond.
