(O.C. Register) – Three people were injured Monday morning in a single-story house fire, including a man pulled from the smoke out of a window, officials said.
Twenty-six Orange County Fire Authority officials responded to a fire at 7:05 a.m. at house in the 6200 block of San Ricardo Way, fire Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
“Firefighters made entry to the home and found a man inside,” Kurtz said. “They pulled him to safety through a front-bedroom window.”
The 28-year-old man was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange for smoke inhalation.
Officials knocked down the fire in about 15 minutes.
A 30-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were also inside the home when the fire started and had smoke-inhalation injuries. They were able to escape the house without assistance.
A firefighter received a minor injury while battling the blaze and was treated on scene.
It was not immediately known how much damage was caused or what started the flames.
