Video from a camera mounted on the helmet of a firefighter shows the rescue of a dog from a burning home.

According to the Sacramento Bee, firefighters found the dog hiding in a bedroom toward the rear of the home, which caught fire early Wednesday morning.

They were able to pull the dog from its hiding spot and carry it to safety.

The family living in the home escaped unharmed, the Bee reports. According to NBC News, a working smoke detector alerted the family.
