(WGXA<\/a>) \u2013 They\u2019re the people who show up when someone\u2019s life hangs in the balance \u2014 any given day can be one of tragedy or triumph. WGXA looked into what a day in the life of a first reponder in middle Georgia is really like.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you see in TV is nothing that compares to real life,\u201d says Michael Johstono of Paramedic Community Ambulance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try not to take any of it for granted and I am extremely proud to wake up every morning and come to work,\u201d said Lawrence Seeger, a Flight Paramedic for the Air Evac Lifeteam in Perry. \u201cI put this uniform on because it is something that I have always wanted to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seeger described how his day starts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to go out and we have to check off the aircraft,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have to make sure that all of the supplies and all of the medications are where they are supposed to be, and the quantity that is supposed to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
