Good Samaritans rescued three people from a house fire in Bloomfield on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
A retired fire chief, an off-duty firefighter, and an off-duty Hartford police lieutenant combine to pull a couple from a burning home.<\/p>\n
The daring rescue happened on Cottage Grove Road.<\/p>\n
The Plainville firefighter says if he and the other Good Samaritans weren\u2019t there, he\u2019s confident this would have been a fatal fire.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s not trying to toot his own horn when he says that.<\/p>\n
He says crews arrived four minutes after everyone was out and pitted against a fire that was raging, that just wouldn\u2019t have been enough time.<\/p>\n
