(NYDailyNews.com<\/a>) \u2013 Cops and firefighters rescued two window washers who got stuck in their scaffolding carriage 40 floors up on the side of a Tribeca skyscraper Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The workers got stuck when their carriage apparently smashed through a window on the side of the 64-story tower at 111 Murray St. near Greenwich St. about 8:20 a.m. Glass rained down after the impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The NYPD\u2019s Special Operations Division reported just after 9 a.m. that the workers had been rescued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u201cGreat Job by NYPD ESU & FDNY with the rescue of 2 people from a malfunctioning scaffold,\u201d the unit posted on Twitter. \u201cWorking together they successfully removed 2 workers from a scaffold stuck on the 40th floor.\u201d<\/div>\n
