(WFXL) \u2013\u00a0Fire Departments in Albany and Valdosta are going head to head to see who can raise the most money for the\u00a0Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The foundation helps burn survivors with their recovery.<\/p>\n

The Departments will be kicking off their effort on Saturday with a cook-off in front of Sam\u2019s Club with food and activities for kids.<\/p>\n

The competition goes on until the end of the year and more events like this are planned throughout the year.<\/p>\n

If you donate, you\u2019ll receive a wristband that has\u201dgive burns the boot\u201d on it,<\/p>\n

Donations are also accepted at the Albany Fire Department Headquarters.<\/p>\n

The Albany BBQ will be held at the Sam\u2019s Club at\u00a01201 N Westover Blvd, Albany, 31707\u00a0<\/strong>on Saturday, April 28<\/strong> from 10AM\u00a0<\/strong>to 4PM<\/p>\n
