{"id":15361,"date":"2017-09-26T15:12:38","date_gmt":"2017-09-26T15:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/georgiaarsoncontrol.org\/?p=15361"},"modified":"2017-09-26T15:13:28","modified_gmt":"2017-09-26T15:13:28","slug":"3-boys-thank-firefighters-after-rescue-from-locked-safe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgiaarsoncontrol.org\/?p=15361","title":{"rendered":"3 boys thank firefighters after rescue from accidentally locked safe"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/story\/news\/local\/macomb-county\/2017\/09\/26\/boys-thank-firemen-after-save-gun-safe\/703282001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Detroit News<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0It was a hot 12 minutes, Sunday afternoon, as Sterling Heights firefighters sawed and pried, working to rescue three little boys, all 3 or 4 years of age, from the human-size gun safe they managed to lock themselves into.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable-p-2 p-text\">The 911 call on the incident came in about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, on the 13000 block of Maidstone Court, which is south of Metro Parkway and west of Schoenherr.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The safe had just been delivered to the home. It was such a new arrival that the instructions for its use, as well as its combination, were still inside by the time all three boys were locked\u00a0in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">One of the three boys lived at the home, and the safe belongs to his father. The other two are his friends. They entered the safe at the convincing of a girl, 5.
