(News Herald<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0Chris Hudson is a bonafied hero.<\/p>\n

Not only did he and his fellow Taylor firefights show up and save an unconscious man\u2019s life, he stayed and finished mowing the man\u2019s lawn.<\/p>\n

Hudson and the rest of the crew arrived at the scene with the man\u2019s neighbors giving him CPR, they took over the life-saving procedure, stabilized the man and sent him off to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Shift commander Al Young said the call came it at about 7:15 p.m. Aug. 22. When they got there the man had collapsed in the yard next to his lawnmower, which had to be moved out of the way so they could work on him.<\/p>\n

After the man was safely on his way, Hudson grabbed the man\u2019s lawnmower and finished the job he had started before going into cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think much about it,\u201d Hudson said. \u201cThe rest of the family and neighbors were scurrying about. I just started cutting the lawn.\u201d Hudson, a 3-year veteran of the department said he didn\u2019t think it was a big deal until it started to go viral online. A neighbor had posted a photo and video of him mowing the yard, which first was posted to Facebook, but then was picked up by local and even international news.<\/p>\n
