(LaGrange News<\/a>) \u2013 LaGrange firefighters, along with help from the community, raised more than $1,000 during their recent \u201cGive Burns the Boot\u201d fundraiser.<\/p>\n

The exact total was $1,255.20, said LFD Lt. Chris Taylor.<\/p>\n

Firefighters spent three days in front of the Walmart Marketplace at 955 Lafayette Parkway and Kroger off Commerce Avenue asking folks for donations.<\/p>\n

The proceeds are donated to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.<\/p>\n

The non-profit organization provides fire safety and prevention education, supports medical facilities and assists burn survivors in their recovery.<\/p>\n
