(wbtv<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0A disabled man was saved from his burning home in Lincoln County Monday morning, thanks to a deputy.<\/p>\n

The Lincoln County Sheriff\u2019s Office says deputy Seth Hovis was on his way to work around 5:50 a.m. when he heard a call come out about a house fire on Killian Road.<\/p>\n

When Hovis arrived, a woman outside told the officer her disabled husband was inside the home and she was unable to get him out.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeputy Hovis rushed inside the residence, located the 73-year-old disabled man in his wheelchair and carried him down a flight of outside steps to safety.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hovis then moved the couple\u2019s vehicles away from the burning home, which deputies say was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.<\/p>\n
