(FOX 5<\/a>) \u2013 Two Fulton County police officers<\/span><\/span> are being hailed heroes after putting their own lives on the line to save someone\u00a0else\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Officer Mark Still and Officer Naeemah Wellington were working an accident on Fulton Industrial Boulevard at Interstate 20 around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when they heard a collision and saw a vehicle<\/span><\/span> on fire.<\/p>\n

The officers immediately jumped into rescue mode and rushed to the scene<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Officer<\/span><\/span> Still said he saw a car explode into a ball of fire and knew he had to help the driver in order for that person to survive.\u201dWe don\u2019t leave anybody behind,\u201d Officer<\/span><\/span> Still said. \u201cWe just don\u2019t do it, no matter what.\u201d\n

Officer Still jammed his baton into the door frame to help pull the man out of the vehicle. According to Officer Wellington, the driver<\/span><\/span> was on fire when they pulled him out.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first question we both asked was, \u2018is he okay?'\u201d Wellington said.<\/p>\n

The officers still don\u2019t know the man\u2019s name or where he\u2019s from but do know he\u2019s recovering in Grady\u2019s Burn unit.<\/p>\n
