(WLNS<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0 A Michigan firefighter is offering couples free marriages this Valentine\u2019s Day to keep their love burning for life.<\/p>\n

By day, he puts fires out, but after he hangs up his hat, this Howell Firefighter helps keep love burning between Michigan couples.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the authority invested in me, it gives me great pleasure to announce you as husband and wife, you may kiss the bride,\u201d Bill Fenton pronounced at a recent ceremony.<\/p>\n

A little over three years ago, Fenton became a wedding officiate after watching couples go broke for love over and over again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no affordable places for people to go besides the courthouse,\u201d Fenton said.<\/p>\n

Fenton wanted Michigan couples to have more affordable options, and when a friend suggested he get ordained, it seemed like the perfect fit.<\/p>\n

\u201cFell in love with it and it turned into pretty much a full-time thing,\u201d Fenton said.<\/p>\n

Fenton performs his ceremonies at a local coffee shop for $50 a pop, but he says he\u2019s not in it for the money.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m a firefighter, I love helping people, just to see that smile on their face,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Detroit newlyweds Lori and Mark Pate were all smiles as they sealed the deal last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I\u2019ve found somebody who is my best friend now, as well as my wife,\u201d Mark Pate told his wife.<\/p>\n
