(Times Herald<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0An overly ambitious dog was rescued Christmas day nearly 20 feet up in a tree.<\/p>\n

Burtchville Township Fire Chief Mark Harrington said crews were called out to Indian Trail Drive in Worth Township about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of getting a cat out of a tree it was getting a dog out of a tree \u2014 which you don\u2019t see very often,\u201d Harrington said.<\/p>\n

Firefighters put a ladder up the tree to rescue the Jack Russell named Pan.<\/p>\n

Harrington said the dog had climbed up the tree chasing a squirrel.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was funny because they had put little antlers on the dog for Christmas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
