KUSA <\/a>\u2013 A local 5-year-old got the Christmas of a lifetime with some help from Santa and the Westminster Fire Department.<\/p>\n

Colton suffers from several birth defects and has undergone five surgeries in this short life. But this holiday season, he just asked for the basics from Santa.<\/p>\n

His Christmas list was not like most kids his age \u2014 he asked for a ride on a fire truck (he\u2019s an aspiring firefighter himself) and groceries for his family.<\/p>\n

After catching wind of this Colton\u2019s wishes, the Westminster Fire Department sprang into action on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He got to enjoy a meal with some of Westminster\u2019s bravest, and got that long-awaited fire truck ride, as well as a truck of his own.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
