FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0<\/span>A Macedonia firefighter saved a dog by giving the animal CPR after a house fire in Forrest County.<\/p>\n

Three animals were found in the home. A Pomeranian and a cat died.<\/p>\n

The Pomeranian was given CPR for 15 to 20 minutes before being declared dead. The cat was unable to be revived.<\/p>\n

A third dog was taken out of the home by Macedonia Firefighter Caleb Lazenby.<\/p>\n

Lazenby took the animal to Trauma Certified EMT Scott Gunther who resuscitated the animal after 10 minutes of CPR. The dog was given oxygen and taken to Petal Animal Clinic.<\/p>\n

Vets say the dog is doing very good, and should be fine with no long-term effects.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
