(News 12<\/a>) \u2013 A volunteer firefighter in Rockland County is being hailed a hero this morning after helping a police officer hurt in a wrong-way crash on Monday.<\/p>\n

Officials say a South Nyack-Grand View officer was driving through the intersection at Cedar Hill Avenue and Prospect Street, when a wrong-way driver crashed into the cruiser, sending it into a tree.<\/p>\n

Nyack firefighter Robert White spotted the scene while responding to an unrelated fire call. White pulled over and began first aid to the officer who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
