(Ithica Voice<\/a>)- For the second time in as many days, a family of three was rescued from\u00a0their vehicle by Ithaca First Responders.<\/p>\n

The call came in at 3:00 p.m. for a report of a car off the road leaning into\u00a0the gorge off of Oak Ave in Ithaca. Ithaca Police, Bangs Ambulance and the\u00a0Ithaca Fire Department responded. Cornell Environmental Health & Safety\u00a0workers were in the area and found a gray KIA, off of the road, leaning into\u00a0the gorge with a family of three still inside.<\/p>\n

Ithaca Firefighters quickly secured the car to their fire trucks with chains\u00a0to keep it from sliding further down and rescued all three from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

No one was injured and the vehicle was recovered by a tow truck. The Ithaca\u00a0Police Department is investigating the accident. On Friday a woman and two\u00a0children were injured when the car they were riding in struck a tree.<\/p>\n

The Ithaca Fire Department reminds everyone to take their time when\u00a0driving, be aware of road conditions, wear seatbelts and ensure children are\u00a0properly restrained.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
