Georgia Underwriting Association is currently seeking a full time property adjuster. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing insurance policies to determine coverage, preparing detailed written reports and making recommendations while complying with state\/federal laws.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/span>:<\/p>\n

Conducts a prompt, thorough and fair investigation by obtaining relevant facts to determine coverage, origin, and extent of loss.<\/li>\n
Document damage\/losses and prepare written cost estimates using Xactimate software.<\/li>\n
Keeps the Claims Director and the insured informed about the claims status with clear, timely and accurate written\/oral communications. Effectively communicates in writing on moderately complex coverage issues with minimal review and coaching.<\/li>\n
Meets time requirements of the policy and fair claims handling practices.<\/li>\n
Keeps the electronic claim file properly documented with accurate, clear and timely information and reports that reflect the adjustment activities and substantiates any payments made.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Job Requirements<\/span>:<\/p>\n
- Associate\/Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent work experience<\/li>\n
- Xactimate property estimating experience<\/li>\n
- 3-5 years field experience with commercial and personal lines claims, full adjustments and appraisal work.<\/li>\n
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision<\/li>\n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n
- Detail oriented, with excellent organization and time management skills<\/li>\n
- Licensed P&C adjuster<\/li>\n
- Background in construction, restoration, and\/or mitigation helpful \u2013 not required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
