{"id":13802,"date":"2016-03-21T16:09:01","date_gmt":"2016-03-21T16:09:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/georgiaarsoncontrol.org\/?p=13802"},"modified":"2016-03-21T16:09:01","modified_gmt":"2016-03-21T16:09:01","slug":"flagler-county-sheriffs-deputy-rescues-woman-trapped-in-overturned-pickup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georgiaarsoncontrol.org\/?p=13802","title":{"rendered":"Flagler County Sheriff&#8217;s deputy rescues woman trapped in overturned pickup"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p>Read the full story <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstcoastnews.com\/news\/local\/flagler-county-sheriffs-deputy-rescues-woman-trapped-in-overturned-pickup\/76969355\" target=\"_blank\">HERE\u203a\u203a<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstcoastnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">FIRST COAST NEWS<\/a>) \u2013 Authorities say a Flagler County Sheriff\u2019s deputy rescued a woman trapped inside an overturned car for nearly an hour as it filled with water early Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Brandy Demarco, 21, was driving west along County Road 80 in Bunnell\u00a0before 1 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a deer and her Toyota pickup plunged into a roadside ditch, according to the Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>She was stuck inside the vehicle for 45 minutes as water filled the cab before help arrived. By the time Deputy Aaron Beausoleil got to the scene, Demarco\u00a0had managed to cut off her seat belt but she was still unable to get free.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy could not see anyone inside the vehicle, but said he could hear Demarco yelling. \u201cI told her I was going to use my baton to smash the window,\u201d\u00a0Beausoleil said. \u201cThe water level wasn\u2019t that high. But there was water coming inside the cab.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beausoleil\u00a0and another deputy pulled Demarco\u00a0from the wreckage.
