DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Two women are lucky to be alive after losing control of their vehicle and crashing into a creek in Lithonia Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

According to police, the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered off the roadway, landing\u00a0upside down into Pole Bridge Creek on Hillvale Road.<\/p>\n

The two women were rescued by firefighters. Neither of the women were injured but both were quite shaken up after the ordeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I felt the impact, I said let me brace myself and I just held it,\u201d said one of the women.<\/p>\n

The two had just come from dropping off one of the woman\u2019s 9 year-old daughter.<\/p>\n
